This is the runway at Constable Point, Greenland. Rod and Jo have just sent word the airport is struggling to keep the runway open due to bad weather and heavy snowfall. The plane chartered to transport them requires a full length runway. An alternative charter flight is being considered, which can land on a shorter runway, however it can only take a reduced payload, which may present a problem. Air Iceland will update them in the morning.
The good news is that the weather will improve significantly for the next 10 days, which will allow them to commence their expedition upon arrival.
